Recently, Shougang Beiye and China Combined Heavy-duty Gas Turbine Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “China Heavy-duty Gas Turbine Technology”) jointly established the “Joint Laboratory of Special Materials of China Heavy-duty Gas Turbine Technology and Beijing Beiye” to speed up the development process of special metal materials for heavy gas turbines in China.

Shougang Beiye Company, as a key national military industry supporting unit and a key R&D and production base for aerospace materials, has made important contributions in the R&D, construction, trial collaboration and supporting work in national key projects such as the national manned space project and the moon landing project for many years.

China Heavy-duty Gas Turbine Technology undertakes the special R & D task of the major national heavy-duty gas turbine technology, and is engaged in the design, R & D, test and verification of the heavy-duty gas turbines.

Over the years, Shougang Beiye Company and China Heavy-duty Gas Turbine Technology have had a good basis for cooperation. The joint laboratory will further strengthen cooperation between the two sides and achieve resource sharing and common development. The joint laboratory positioning mainly revolves around the developmental demands of heavy gas turbines, and focuses on the research and development, production, analysis and testing, evaluation and application of special metal materials for heavy gas turbines, so as to speed up the development process of special metal materials for heavy gas turbines in China.

It is understood that the management mode of the joint laboratory is the director responsibility system under the guidance of the board of directors, with the academic committee responsible for guiding the planning, project establishment and implementation of the joint laboratory’s research projects, and leading the scientific research into the identification and evaluation.
