Recently, CFCG Xinjiang Xigou Coal Mine completed the commissioning of its main production system equipment, marking the completion and trial operation of Phase I Project of Xigou Coal Mine.

Xigou Coal Mine is CFCG’s quality resources project in Xinjiang, with the Xinjiang Shougang Investment Co., Ltd., owninng a 100% stake. The planned mining area is 12.97 square kilometers. Its total reserves are nearly 500 million tons, with No. 31 non-caking coal with high calorific value, low ash, low sulfur and low phosphorus, which is good gasification coal, chemical coal and power coal, having broad market prospects. Based on the “General Plan of Baiyang River Mining Area” approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, the project has established the planning target of 2.4 million tons per year by the end of the “13th Five-Year Plan”, in which the design capacity in phase I is 900,000 tons per year.

In 2016, CFCG designated Xigou Coal Mine as a key management and development project during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period and set up the “CFCG Xinjiang Xigou Project Coordination Headquarters”, which is in charge of the development, construction and operation of the Xigou Coal Mine project. In recent years, the headquarters has taken root in the mining area, led all the staff to fully inherit and carry forward the spirit of Shougang, and put the “pragmatic, responsible, innovative and open” corporate culture of CFCG into practice, so as to build Xigou Coal Mine into a first-class exemplary mining enterprise in Xinjiang, to overcome difficulties, to open up and innovate, to cooperate with Kailuan Group, and to creatively explore the new cooperation mode of “the integration of construction, production and operation”. The third-party audit company is introduced to carry out the whole process audit, which effectively prevents investment risk.

At present, the main devices, such as coal mining and surface coal bunkers, in Xigou Coal Mine have been installed, and the main well transportation belt system has completed the combined test run, which has created the conditions for the trial operation. The trial operation of Xigou Coal Mine marks substantial progress in the development of the stored high-quality assets of CFCG Xinjiang Company, and also indicates that the transformation and development of CFCG has entered a new stage.
