Recently, at the "Summary of the Beijing Division of the Second China Postdoctoral Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition and Promotion Meeting on Gathering Postdoctoral Strength in the Process of Chinese Modernization" held by the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Shougang Beiye received approval to establish a park-style postdoctoral research center.

It is an important R&D and production base of special metal materials in China, and a designated production support unit for national key military projects. In addition, the training, introduction and use of talents has always been the top priority of Shougang Beiye's work. By undertaking major projects at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, and tackling key technical problems such as material mechanisms, processes, equipment and testing in the research and production of special metal materials, Beiye cultivates the comprehensive innovation ability and engineering practice ability of cutting-edge technical talents in the whole chain of new material R&D and application technology, improves the fault tolerance and evaluation mechanism of R&D personnel, and implements the engineering talent training mode. It has built a team of highly educated and high-quality innovative talents with doctors and masters as the core, and trained high-end talents successively such as young talents of the China Association for Science and Technology, Outstanding Youth of Beijing, New Stars of Science and Technology and Second-class Scientists of Shougang, forming the backbone that leads the technological innovation and development of the enterprise.

In the next step, Shougang Beiye will give full play to the advantages of the postdoctoral research center to speed up the training of a group of leading talents in line with the capital's functional positioning and the development direction of the enterprise, thereby promoting technological innovation to become the primary competitive advantage of Shougang and contributing to the rapid creation of Shougang scenes that feature the Chinese path to modernization.

A postdoctoral research center is an organization approved to recruit and train postdoctoral researchers in enterprises, scientific research and production institutions, and special regional institutions. It serves as an important platform for scientific research development and high-level personnel training, building a bridge between high-tech talents and enterprises in China. This time, 109 units were awarded licenses as new postdoctoral stations and innovation practice bases.
