Recently, the Shougang Jingtang Company's first roll of Al-Zn coated product successfully rolled off the assembly line, filling the gap of the Shougang Group in the field of Al-Zn coated products and marking a solid step taken by the Jingtang Company towards the goal of a high-end leading product structure.

Compared with ordinary galvanized products, the Al-Zn coated product has a coated surface with excellent gloss. Its ability to resist atmospheric corrosion is 2 to 6 times that of ordinary galvanized sheets. At the high temperature of 300°C, no discoloration occurs. It is widely used in such industries as construction, home appliances and automobiles. Meanwhile, the production cost of Al-Zn coated products is low. By reducing the consumption of zinc ingots, nearly 35% of the cost is saved. The production process of Al-Zn coated products is complex with many operational control points, and very few companies in China can produce high-quality Al-Zn coated products. To this end, the color-coated sheet business department of the Jingtang Company has repeatedly organized technicians and operators to visit well-known enterprises to study and hold technical exchanges with experts, thus solving many problems and ensuring the completion of the Al-Zn Coating Project on schedule.

In the debugging process, the design of the zinc melting solution in the pre-melting pot and main pot presented a problem. There are two zinc melting solutions in traditional Al-Zn coating. One solution is to use pure zinc ingots and pure aluminum ingots in turn. The other solution is to use Al-Zn ingots with a certain adjusted ratio of compositions. Both solutions have some drawbacks and relatively high risks. In order to solve this problem, the production technology office repeatedly organized zinc pot manufacturers and zinc ingots manufacturers to communicate with each other, and the best solution was finally determined. Through testing, this solution was found to not only meet the requirements of aluminum content in the zinc pot after zinc melting, but also shorten the duration.

During the trial production process, the color-coated sheet business department carried out strict production organization. It figured out the detailed progress of contract review, production scheduling, equipment maintenance and operator training, and promptly coordinated and solved the existing problems. It organized all departments to carry out simulation tests of the production system in advance, strived to make all stages scientific and rational, and all processes smoothly connected, and nipped in the bud all the problems that might affect the Al-Zn coating production. Focusing on the process, the production technology office worked together with the Shougang Research Institute of Technology and foreign experts in Al-Zn coating to set the optimal annealing temperature, process speed, production line tension and other process parameters, and to prepare and perfect the Al-Zn coating operation essentials. The personnel in the work zone operated in strict accordance with the operation essentials to avoid operational errors. Through the joint efforts of technical staff and operators, success was achieved in one stroke.
