The treatment of municipal solid waste has always been a problem for city administrators. Shougang Environment Company has rich experience in harmless treatment of municipal solid waste. Beijing Lujiashan Waste Incineration Power Generation Project is a successful case.

Changzhi harmless municipal waste treatment project aims at converting the waste to clean and green electric energy through harmless treatment of municipal waste and power generation by waste incineration. After the completion of this project, the waste treatment in main urban area of Changzhi can be completely solved, so as to achieve concentrated harmless treatment, reduction and recycling of regional waste. The project includes municipal waste incineration power generation plant and supporting landfill, with a treatment capacity of 1,500t/day. The construction of this project is divided into two phases. The construction scale of phase Ⅰ is 1,000t/day. Two sets of domestic mature and stable mechanical grate type incinerator (500t/day) and one 18MW steam turbine generator unit are adopted. The annual treatment of municipal waste is about 365,000t and the annual electricity production is about 121,000,000 KWH. Phase Ⅰ lasts 2 years, including 6 months of commissioning; One set of 500t/day mechanical grate type incinerator and one 9MW steam turbine generator unit will be constructed in phase Ⅱ. The gas purification system adopts the reliable process of “SNCR + semi-dry method + dry method + activated carbon injection + bag filter”. The incineration gas emission index reaches to the domestic advanced level.

The successful launch of Shanxi Changzhi Harmless Municipal Solid Waste Treatment Project will help the green development of Changzhi, enhance the urban management, improve the city operation quality and perfect the urban functions.
