The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) recently announced the 2024 recipients of the China Iron and Steel Industry Award for Product Development and Market Expansion, with a total of 10 products earning this distinction. Shougang Jingtang's "Shougang Hot-Dip Thick-Gauge High-Corrosion-Resistant Zn-Al-Mg Alloy Coated Product" secured this prestigious award in recognition of its outstanding product performance and strong customer acclaim.

This award-winning product is primarily used in photovoltaic (PV) mounting systems and highway guardrails. With domestic production and sales volume leading the industry for three consecutive years, the product has established partnerships with the top 20 global PV mounting manufacturers. Its core control technology has reached internationally advanced levels. The product has been supplied to world-renowned PV projects. Furthermore, its high-strength, lightweight highway guardrail variant has garnered widespread adoption, earning strong industry acclaim.

The product development team has implemented Shougang's "One Leadership, Two Integrations" strategic development path for new quality productive forces, establishing an integrated innovation model that combines "scientific research - manufacturing processes - application solutions" across production, sales, and R&D functions. Guided by technological innovation and incorporating both management innovation and business model innovations, the team has achieved a series of technical breakthroughs, optimized production processes for end products such as PV mounting systems and highway guardrails, and reduced the whole-life costs of these products.

To date, this product has received further accolades, including the "Golden Cup Premium Quality Product" award from the CISA and third prize in the Metallurgical Science and Technology Awards. Based on its expertise in hot-dip thick-gauge, high-corrosion-resistant Zn-Al-Mg coated products, Shougang Jingtang has taken the lead in formulating two industry standards for highway guardrails and participated in drafting six group standards for construction, photovoltaic, and metallurgical applications. These efforts have significantly promoted the large-scale application of hot-dip thick-gauge high-corrosion-resistant Zn-Al-Mg coated products in national infrastructure projects such as expressways.
