Recently, the China Iron and Steel Association released the 2024 List of Metallurgical Products Physical Quality Brand Cultivation Products. Five products from Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Shougang Jingtang) earned the prestigious title of "Gold Cup Quality Products" on the list. These products include: Structural Steel Plates for Bridges, Hot-Dip Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Coated Steel Strips with High Corrosion Resistance, Hot-Rolled Weathering Steel Plates and Strips for Containers, Wide and Heavy Steel Plates for Oil and Gas Pipelines, and Tin-Plated Sheets for Food-Grade Milk Powder Cans.

They feature high strength, a low yield-to-tensile ratio, excellent toughness across a wide temperature range (both high and low), superior flatness, and outstanding weldability. Shougang Jingtang's bridge steel is a primary material for leading domestic steel bridge manufacturers such as China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group (CRSBG) and China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group. Users have highly recognized the product's quality, which has been extensively utilized in major domestic and international projects, including the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, Anyang-Luoshan Expressway Yellow River Super Bridge, the Third Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhu, Guanting Reservoir Grand Bridge, and the Padma Bridge in Bangladesh.

Hot-dip zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy-coated steel strips offer excellent corrosion resistance on both flat surfaces and cut edges, with durability 4 to 5 times greater than that of conventional pure zinc-coated products. They are widely employed in photovoltaic mounting systems deployed in harsh environments such as coastal, desert, and mountainous regions. Wide and heavy steel plates for oil and gas pipelines are primarily used in the construction of high-pressure, large-diameter oil and gas transmission pipelines. Produced using ultra-clean steelmaking and high-uniformity rolling technologies, these products exhibit excellent strength and toughness, superior low-temperature impact resistance, consistent flatness, stringent flaw detection capabilities, and outstanding formability and weldability. Shougang Jingtang has served as a key supplier under national pipeline network framework agreements for several consecutive years. Its products have been extensively utilized in major domestic and international projects, including the Second, Third, and Fourth West–East Gas Pipelines, the Second Sichuan–East Gas Transmission Pipeline, the China-Russia East-route Natural Gas Pipeline, the China–Myanmar Crude Oil and Gas Pipeline, and the China-Central Asia Natural Gas Pipeline.

Tin-plated sheets for food-grade milk powder cans are primarily used for packaging infant formula and are supplied to major domestic and international baby formula brands. Given the stringent requirements for wettability, abrasion resistance, and smudge control in tin plates for formula cans, Shougang Jingtang has developed key manufacturing technologies to address multiple technical bottlenecks. Its advanced smudge control capabilities have reached an industry-leading level.

Organized by the China Iron and Steel Association, the Metallurgical Products Physical Quality Brand Cultivation Program is the only national evaluation initiative assessing the physical quality of steel industry products. Often referred to as the industry's "Oscars," the designation signifies that a product's quality ranks among the best in its category in China. To date, Shougang Jingtang has received a total of 37 "Gold Cup Quality Product" honors and 7 "Gold Cup Premium Quality Product" awards.
