Shougang Jingtang Technology Selected for Recommended Catalogue of Innovative Green Technologies in Beijing

Recently, Beijing held the National Ecological Day Beijing Publicity Campaign at the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone Exhibition Center. At the meeting, the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission released the Recommended Catalogue of Innovative Green Technologies in Beijing, and Production and Application Technology of Solid Waste-based Cementitious Material Concrete with Multi-solid Waste Cooperation developed by Shougang Jingtang and the Beijing University of Science and Technology was selected for inclusion.

In accordance with the solid waste resource management concept of "Consumption, Added Value and Leading", Shougang Jingtang has actively explored efficient recycling technology for metallurgical solid waste resources and cooperated with the Beijing University of Science and Technology to develop Production and Application Technology of Solid Waste-based Cementitious Material Concrete with Multi-solid Waste Cooperation. In this technology, various solid wastes such as metallurgical slag from iron and steel, tailings and waste rock are used as the raw materials, the double salt effect is used as the reaction driving force, and silicate mineral particles participate in the hydration hardening reaction under the synergy of steel slag and desulfurized gypsum. The depolymerization and re-polymerization of the silicon (aluminum) oxygen tetrahedron further cooperates with the four-coordination isomorphism effect of the silicon, giving the solid waste-based cementitious concrete good strength and durability. This technology improves the comprehensive utilization rate of various solid wastes and can reduce 0.5 tons of carbon dioxide per ton of solid waste-based cementitious materials, 500 kg of carbon oxides produced by explosives and 54.2 kg/1,000 m3 of rock dust below 1 micron produced by gravel, delivering good economic and environmental benefits.

Shougang Jingtang has vigorously promoted ecological prioritization, economical and intensive development, and green and low-carbon development, actively and steadily advanced the peak carbon and carbon neutrality goals, and focused on efficiency guidance, scientific and technological support, and mechanism innovation. At present, it has developed new building materials such as steel slag micro-powder, composite mineral powder and all-solid waste cementitious materials which have been successfully applied in major national projects such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and China International Fair for Trade in Services in Beijing.

Led by the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Beijing has established a mechanism for the recommendation list of innovative green technologies and application scenarios, and publicly solicited innovative green technologies and demand application scenarios from society. After such links as expert evaluation, departmental consultation and public announcement, the Recommended Catalogue of Innovative Green Technologies in Beijing has been issued. Up to now, a total of 90 green technologies have been recommended, covering more than 10 key areas including energy conservation, alternative energy production, solid waste reduction and resource utilization, plastic pollution prevention, air pollution prevention, water-saving and water environment governance, and carbon reduction and fixation, attracting the attention of key energy consuming units, carbon emission units and market institutions. Meanwhile, three demand application scenarios have been publicly recommended.
