Recently, the Beijing Aidi Geological Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (Aidi Company), a subsidiary of the Shougang Geological Exploration Institute, obtained three Grade A surveying and mapping qualifications issued by the Beijing Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Commission, namely, photogrammetry and remote sensing, boundary and real estate surveying and mapping, and geographic information system engineering.

The Geological Exploration Institute celebrated the 70th anniversary of its establishment in 2023, which is also the final year for it to promote the “14th Five-year Plan” and lay a good foundation for high-quality development. Under the leadership of the Group Party Committee, the Geological Exploration Institute actively responds to tough situations, focuses on payment collection, takes technology as the foundation, tackles difficulties to ensure survival, strengthens the foundations to seek development, makes overall plans to promote technological innovation becoming the first competitiveness of its enterprises and enhances the comparative competitive advantages of its market segments. As a technical service-oriented enterprise, the qualification of the Aidi Company is the top priority of enterprise management and development. In recent years, while strengthening and expanding engineering investigation and geotechnical construction, the Aidi Company has consistently attached great importance to the development of its surveying and mapping specialization, continuously strengthened the retention of technical personnel, actively organized industry exchanges and studies, and continuously improved its comprehensive strength. At present, the Aidi Company holds a number of Grade A qualifications in the professional contracting of foundations and foundation engineering, comprehensive engineering survey, geological disaster control engineering (exploration, design, construction and evaluation), surveying and mapping (engineering survey, boundary and real estate surveying and mapping, photogrammetry and remote sensing, geographic information system engineering), etc. The continuous upgrading of enterprise qualifications provides strong support for further broadening service fields and enhancing market competitiveness. From January to October this year, the operating income and profit of the whole institute exceeded the annual budget target. By the end of October, the Aidi Company had signed 144 engineering contracts of various types, with the total contract value up by 71.68% compared with the same period in the previous year and exceeding the annual plan by 35%.
