On September 11th, co-sponsored by the Metallurgical Mines' Association of China and Shougang Mining Corporation, and co-organized by the China Unicom Hebei Branch, BGRIMM Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. of BGRIMM Technology Group and Beijing Soly Technology Co., Ltd., the on-site meeting of 5G + downhole single equipment centralized control and intelligent mine solution was held at the Shougang Qian'an Conference Center. During the meeting, downhole 5G communication technology, remote surface control technology for scrapers and remote control technology for medium-deep hole trolleys were released, marking the first large-scale application of 5G + downhole single equipment centralized control technology in the metallurgical mining industry, and a new breakthrough in intelligent mine construction for the Shougang Mining Corporation.

The meeting was attended by more than 200 representatives from the Metallurgical Mines' Association of China and metallurgical mining enterprises all over the country. Since the "Thirteenth Five-year Plan", the Shougang Mining Corporation has been committed to the national situation, seized development opportunities, designed and constructed a top-level intelligent mine development strategy aiming at unmanned sites, centralized control and intelligent management, and built four platforms: intelligent mining, intelligent mineral processing, intelligent transportation and intelligent management, with one industrial control map and one management map as the carriers. The intelligent mine solution of "three transformations, two maps and four platforms" has promoted multi-dimensional and deep-level changes in such aspects as labor organization, economic operation and process reengineering. The Shougang Mining Corporation cooperated with BGRIMM Intelligent Technology and China Unicom to solve key technologies such as remote control and network delay, and realized centralized control above the well as scheduled.

Wang Yunmin, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chief Scientist of the Sinosteel Corporation and Former President of the Sinosteel Maanshan Research Institute of Mining, delivered a video speech in which he spoke highly of the Shougang Mining Corporation's pioneering introduction of 5G communication technology in downhole mines, independent R&D of remote surface control technology for scrapers, and remote control of downhole mining equipment on the ground, which have greatly improved the working environment for employees and provided an effective safety guarantee for downhole mines.

The Shougang Mining Corporation gave a detailed introduction to its intelligent mine construction and achievements entitled Building Intelligent Mines and Promoting High-quality Development, which covered various aspects such as "taking concepts as the guide and strengthening top-level design, building four platforms with the support of science and technology, and pursuing practical results to achieve high-quality development".

At the meeting, the leaders of the Shougang Mining Corporation and China Unicom Hebei Branch jointly unveiled the joint laboratory, which will provide a platform for future R&D cooperation on downhole mobile base stations, artificial intelligence and machine vision, etc.

The relevant leaders of the Metallurgical Mines' Association of China, Shougang Mining Corporation, China Unicom Hebei Branch, BGRIMM Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Soly Technology Co., Ltd. jointly pressed the start button, marking the official operation of the 5G + downhole single equipment centralized control technology.

After the meeting, the participants visited the Xingshan Iron Mine Centralized Control Center, Waterworks Iron Mine Production Command Center and Mazhu Innovation Studio of Accounting and Control Inspection Center to learn about the innovative achievements of the Shougang Mining Corporation in intelligent mining, intelligent beneficiation, intelligent transportation and intelligent management.

It is reported that since 2019, the Shougang Mining Corporation has fully pursued the construction of intelligent mines in an all-round way, taken "unmanned" as the main line, defined construction standards and practical paths, and formed an overall structure of "three transformations, two maps and four platforms", empowerment through "numbers" and quality improvement through "intelligence", which has gradually realized the upgrade from "human control" to "intelligent control" and the intelligent transformation from "few people" to "unmanned". The construction of intelligent mines has become a new engine for the high-quality development of enterprises.
