Recently, the awards ceremony was held for the "Looking for Role Models" 2022 Model Short Video Collection Exhibition organized by the Capital Civic Enhancement Committee Office. The work Silent Dedication jointly produced by Peking University Shougang Hospital and the Shougang News Center was evaluated by experts along with more than 1,600 works in terms of initial evaluation, final evaluation and upvote, and finally stood out by virtue of its real and touching stories to win the Outstanding Works Award.

Silent Dedication records the journey of Xu Jing, the head nurse of the fever clinic of Peking University Shougang Hospital, as she leads the nursing team to treat patients during the rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of 2022. It shows the fearless and heroic spirit of the majority of medical workers represented by Xu Jing during the epidemic, characterized by "the more dangers they encounter, the harder they push forward" and the tough style of "daring to challenge and daring to win". After it was broadcast on the video channels of the Shougang News Center and Peking University Shougang Hospital, the work received widespread attention. Many doctors and nurses burst into tears, saying, "The video was perfect, and I watched it several times. The medical staff is really great"; "I was too busy in this extraordinary period. Now I’m deeply touched by reviewing the anti-epidemic work. We’re very proud"; "Medical staff are the true embodiment of responsibility and commitment. They’re not angels, they’re better than angels"; "Behind this excellent work, the hardships and dedication of the production team are also reflected. Thank you!" These heartfelt words touched everyone's hearts and allowed us to witness those unwavering figures, cooperative treatments and touching scenes.

As historical recorders, the publicists of the Party Committee Office of Peking University Shougang Hospital and reporters of the Shougang News Center have stood firm in their positions and always fought on the front line of anti-epidemic reporting to actively publicize various measures and services for epidemic prevention and control. They recorded events with lenses and conveyed warmth with words, leaving us with a batch of valuable documentary materials, as well as interpreting the responsibilities and commitments of journalists in the all-media era. "Although our identities were different, our missions were the same. Responsibility was on our shoulders, and each Party member was a volunteer and commando fighting on the front line against the epidemic, all of whom were trying to win the fierce battle" said Liu Jinliang, Deputy Director of the Party Committee Office of Peking University Shougang Hospital.
