Recently, the awards ceremony of the first Bluetech Carbon Neutrality Pioneers Award was held at the Second Conference on Financial Support for Green Technology and Annual Meeting of the Platform of Financial Support for Green Technology. Shougang LanzaTech stood out among nearly 100 technology pioneer enterprises in the field of carbon neutralization by virtue of its "Technology of Ethanol and Protein Biosynthesis from Industrial Tail Gas Containing Carbon" and won the Bluetech Carbon Neutrality Pioneers Award, as well as being selected as the green technology enterprise with the most development potential.

Shougang LanzaTech independently developed "Technology of Ethanol and Protein Biosynthesis from Industrial Tail Gas Containing Carbon" which achieved the major breakthrough of directly converting industrial tail gas containing CO and CO2 into high-value products such as bioethanol and new feed protein. Bioethanol is a clean energy that can be added to gasoline to reduce the emission of automobile exhaust pollutants, and can also be used as a basic chemical raw material for deep processing into green and low-carbon products such as ethylene, aviation kerosene, cleaning supplies, cosmetics packaging, chemical fibers for clothes, etc. The new feed protein was awarded the first new product certificate of feed raw materials in China, which is of great significance for escaping dependence on imported soybean, fish meal and other traditional protein feedstuff sources, and solving the bottleneck problem of protein resources in China.

The Bluetech Carbon Neutrality Pioneers Award is jointly sponsored by the Bluetech Clean Air Alliance and Platform of Financial Support for Green Technology. It selects technology pioneer enterprises in the field of carbon neutrality on a global scale in order to support excellent green technology enterprises and teams, and accelerate the process of achieving carbon neutrality in China and the world.

Based on the Bluetech Award launched in 2015, this award focuses on technology enterprises and entrepreneurial teams in key carbon-neutral tracks such as new energy, green travel, energy storage, green construction, energy conservation, smart manufacturing and negative carbon technology. To date, the Bluetech Award has been held six times, selecting over 500 innovative technologies from 22 countries and establishing a systematic evaluation mechanism and technology collection network covering more than 20 countries and more than 100 cooperative institutions.
