On August 21st, the launch ceremony of the 2022 Shijingshan Science and Technology Week, themed “Science and Technology Bring Us Together”, and the unveiling ceremony of the Zhongguancun Science Fiction Industry Innovation Center were held in Shougang Park.

The event was attended by Zhang Jihong, Party Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, Li Xin, Deputy Secretary of the Shijingshan District Committee and District Head, and Zhao Minge, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Shougang Group, who delivered speeches and jointly unveiled the Zhongguancun Science Fiction Industry Innovation Center. It was also attended by Wang Jianxin, Second-level Inspector of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, Wang Zhiyong, Party member and Deputy Head of the Shijingshan District Government, Liang Jie, Standing Committee member and Deputy General Manager of the Shougang Group, and Leng Wenbo, Director of the Copyright Management Division of the Beijing Municipal Committee Publicity Department.

At the launch ceremony, the participating leading officials launched the 2022 Shijingshan District Science and Technology Week, and the Beijing Shijingshan District People's Government, Shougang Group and Beijing Zhongguancun Tongli Technology Service Co., Ltd. jointly signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement of the Zhongguancun Science Fiction Industry Innovation Center Project.

The event was hosted by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, Shijingshan District People's Government of Beijing and Shougang Group Co., Ltd, and held in Jin'an Science Fiction Plaza in Shougang Park, which is another science fiction industry cluster district built by the China Association for Science and Technology and Beijing. The 2021 China Science Fiction Convention was held in Shougang Park, at which big news such as the Beijing Science Fiction Industry Fund, Science Fiction Industry Consortium, Zhongguancun Science Fiction Industry Innovation Center and Science Fiction Awards was released. Over the past year, with the efforts and support of all parties, various achievements have been gradually made.

The Zhongguancun Science Fiction Industry Innovation Center has settled in Shougang Park. As one of the key projects in the cluster district, it was established under the guidance of the China Association for Science and Technology and Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Government, and the overall coordination of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, and jointly supported by the Shougang Group, Shijingshan District and Zhongguancun Tongli Company. Led by the science fiction and metaverse industries, this center will promote the deep integration of high-tech industries such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and 5G, and help Shougang Park become a science fiction industry highland with global influence. At present, 33 enterprises, including many innovative enterprises from outside Beijing, have settled in the Innovation Center, 50% of which were founded by overseas returning experts or teams.

The Shougang Group will conscientiously implement the spirit of the 13th Congress of Party Representatives, accelerate the implementation of the deployments of the Municipal Party Committee and Government, give full play to the advantages of state-owned enterprises as unified developing subjects and service subjects, and continue to conserve the industrial ecology in conjunction with the relevant departments of the city and district. In addition, by centering on "Science and Technology +" and "Sports +", Shougang will constantly intensify the cultivation of leading industries, focus on developing high-tech industries such as artificial intelligence, science fiction and the metaverse, gather a group of leading and high-quality enterprises to settle in the center, and carry out the construction and demonstration of application scenarios such as Internet 3.0, metaverse experience exhibition center and autonomous driving, thereby building a perfect service system of market, talents, application and display for enterprises. It will also make every effort to optimize the business environment, strengthen industrial evaluation and tracking services, shape new advantages in high-quality development and help the settled enterprises to achieve stronger and faster development in the park, thus making concerted efforts to turn Shougang Park into an urban industrial community featuring cross-border integration.
