Lately, the 2021 Decision on Municipal (Demonstrative) Employees’ Innovation Studios, Famous Masters and Apprentices, and Independent Innovation Achievements of Employees in the Capital Affirmed by the Office of the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions was released. Four municipal employees’ innovation studios, 14 famous masters and apprentices, and seven employees’ independent innovation achievements of Shougang were honored.

In order to continuously promote the reform of the team construction of industrial workers in the capital, implement the relevant requirements of the Beijing Coordination Group for Promoting the Reform of the Team Construction of Industrial Workers, keep a foothold in the urban strategic positioning of the capital, focus on the high-quality development goals of the capital, build a “high-grade, precise and advanced” industrial structure in the capital, strengthen the core position of innovation, stimulate the innovation potential of employees in the whole city and continuously promote the training of high-skilled talents and the promotion and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in enterprises and public institutions in the whole city, the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions launched the evaluation, selection and affirmation of the 2021 Municipal (Demonstrative) Employees’ Innovation Studios, and the collection, selection and promotion of the independent innovation achievements of employees in the capital. The Group’s trade unions actively organized and participated in the evaluation and selection activities.

Shougang’s listed municipal employees’ innovation studios include: An Dongyang Innovation Studio in the R&D and application of non-oriented electrical steel products; Chu Rensheng Innovation Studio of the Shougang Technology Research Institute in steelmaking technology R&D for wide and heavy steel plates; Shougang Jingtang Zhang Weizhong Innovation Studio in machinery and electrical automation equipment on hot rolling lines; and Shougang Jingtang Chen Wanzhong Innovation Studio in loading and unloading ship process innovation and tool development.

A total of 14 pairs of masters and apprentices, namely Shougang’s Guo Yuming, Dong Lijie and Li Xianhao, Shougang Jingtang's Kang Zhipeng, Shougang Mining’s Ma Zhu, the Technology Research Institute’s Pan Wen, the Beiye Company’s Wen Xinli and their 14 apprentices were awarded the title of “Famous Master and Apprentice”.

In the List of Independent Innovation Achievements of Employees in the Capital in 2021, seven independent innovation achievements of Shougang's employees were honored: Shougang's Research, Development and Application of Key Technologies for High-Efficiency and Low-Cost Production of High-Quality Container Plates by Hot Continuous Rolling won the first prize; Shougang Jingtang’s Research on Production Stability and Key Application Technologies of High-Quality Ultra-Deep Drawing Automobile Sheets and Shougang Mining’s Research on Dry Sand Preparation Technology of Waste Rock in Dump won the second prize; and Shougang’s Research on Cooperative Control Technology of Color Difference and Flat Coil of Advanced High-Strength Steel and Research and Application of Stability and Longevity Technology of Top Equipment in Blast Furnace, Shougang Jingtang’s Practice of Expanding Taphole Diameter of 300-ton Large Converter and Shougang Mining's Construction and Practice of Equipment Health Management System Based on Industry Big Data Analysis won the third prize.

According to the report, 60 municipal employees’ innovation studios were honored, 100 pairs of masters and apprentices won the title of “Famous Master and Apprentice”, and 10 first prizes, 20 second prizes and 30 third prizes were awarded for employees' independent innovation achievements in Beijing.
