Recently, the Security Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics sent a letter of thanks to the Shougang Group expressing gratitude for its strong support in the security work of the Games.

In the letter, the Security Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics wrote that the Shougang Group has always adhered to the concept of “serving the Winter Olympics”, and provided strong support and guarantees for its work during the Games. In particular, the Security Office of the Shougang Park Management Department and the workers of Beijing Shougang Park Comprehensive Service Co., Ltd. (Park Service Company) were conscientious, enthusiastic, thoughtful, rigorous, meticulous and unafraid of hardships and problems; they have been praised by leaders at all levels and visiting units, which fully shows the fine spirit and outstanding working style of Shougang employees.

In order to effectively carry out the security work of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Shougang Park Management Department promoted all kinds of business with high standards, high quality and high efficiency; formulated, improved and actively organized the implementation of the security work plan for the security control area of the Games; took overall charge of the security and traffic safety work of the control area; and actively interfaced with external units to coordinate the relevant security work. During the Games, all professional offices and management departments of the Park Management Department organized and implemented professional supervision and inspection according to their respective duties, and supervised and implemented the investigation and management of various hidden dangers. According to their respective duties and tasks, they formulated work plans for the Winter Olympics and Paralympics, and identified various work contacts and control measures. All professional departments actively provided services, took their corresponding positions, coordinated proactively, fully organized and promoted the work, strictly implemented the information reporting system and made every effort to complete the task of providing services for the Winter Olympics.

The service team of the Park Service Company was mainly responsible for traffic guidance, order maintenance, fire protection, large meetings, customer consultation, emergency response, parking building and lot management, and other security services in the office area of the Organizing Committee and its surroundings. In order to effectively provide security services, the Park Service Company organized a security service team of more than 60 people to conduct inspections every two hours and control the situation in each area in real time. It also established a 24-hour leader-guided shift and daily work mechanism. According to the standards set during the Games, it strengthened its thinking and played its role accordingly. It deepened the work plan for personnel, equipment, training, planning and other aspects in order to ensure that the key points were supervised, important equipment was attended and crucial links were monitored. In order to improve its security services, the Park Service Company also carried out emergency drills such as elevator rescue, power outage and water leakage scenario, comprehensively tested its response capacity and handling level in the face of various emergencies in the operation of Winter Olympic venues, and improved its command, dispatch and emergency support capabilities across regions and sectors. The security service team of the Park Service Company has demonstrated its responsibility through its actions, pursued quality in the details and provided support for the Winter Olympics with the fine spirit and rigorous working style of Shougang employees.
