Shougang Holds “Promoting National Occupational Health Promotion Project Implementation and Psychological Care for Employees to Build a Happy Enterpri

A few days ago, Shougang held the “Promoting National Occupational Health Promotion Project Implementation and Psychological Care for Employees to Build a Happy Enterprise” seminar in order to learn and promote Shougang’s experience in the 5+N Caring Mode to Help Promote Employees’ Mental Quality Ability and discuss employees’ psychological care and building a happy enterprise. At the event, Shougang was named “Excellent Demonstration Unit of Occupational Health Services”. The seminar was attended by related leaders of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Machinery, Metallurgy and Building Materials Trade Union, National Occupational Health Promotion Project Promotion Committee, Chinese Health Association, leaders of local trade unions in several provinces and cities, principals of various enterprises and public institutions, steel plate and grass-roots units of the Shougang Group, and professional experts in the field of health, as well as media such as Xinhuanet, Workercn.cn and Workers’ Daily.

Shougang has always attached great importance to its occupational health work. Under the strong leadership of the Party Committee and superior trade union, a series of occupational health promotion undertakings have been carried out involving the popularization of health knowledge, physical examinations, psychological care and so on. According to the needs of employees’ psychological care, the work concepts and thinking objectives of employees’ psychological care have been defined, and the 5+N action plan for such care has been implemented; namely, building the position, carrying out a series of training sessions, cultivating the team, conducting evaluations and carrying out one-to-one consultation. At the same time, various forms and methods have been used to deliver knowledge, assistance and services to employees, and more than 800 employees’ training courses in health care have been carried out. The cumulative number of participating employees reached more than 18,000, and the services covered all employees in Shougang.

With the theme “Psychological Care for Employees to Build a Happy Enterprise”, the seminar analyzed the future development trends and opportunities of psychological care for employees, shared the achievements and cases of employees’ psychological care and the construction of a happy enterprise, and discussed problems in promoting the psychological care of employees and the construction of a happy enterprise, aiming to further advance the extensive, in-depth and sustainable development of mental health promotion activities, promote the development of the National Occupational Health Promotion Project and jointly build a popular supporting project for happiness and occupational health in the new era. Hu Yuexing, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the CPC Central Committee Party School, delivered a keynote speech entitled Positive Mental Attitude and Psychological Debugging; the head of the Shougang Labor Union conducted an experience exchange entitled 5+N Caring Mode to Help Promote Employees’ Mental Quality Ability; and Ge Zhengyu, Director of the Employees’ Psychological Care Construction Operation Department of the Occupational Health Project, held a discussion and exchange surrounding the theme of the seminar.

The attendees visited Shougang’s Employee Mind Relay Station and “Harmonious Team” Training Base, Hot Rolling Team 2 of the Hot Rolling Operation Department and the Department of Energy’s Comprehensive Water Workers’ Home, learned about the development of employees’ service work at the site, and highly praised Shougang for putting care for occupational health into practice, building a new benchmark for national demonstrative occupational health services and actively building a happy enterprise.
