A few days ago, the China Enterprise Confederation (CEC) and China Enterprise Directors Association (CEDA) released the 2021 Top 100 Chinese Multinational Corporations and Transnational Index, among which the Shougang Group ranked 53rd.

Based on the top 500 Chinese enterprises, top 500 manufacturing enterprises and top 500 service enterprises, the “Top 100 Chinese Multinational Corporations” is compiled from non-financial enterprises with overseas assets, overseas operating income and overseas employees in order of total overseas assets. The Transnational Index is calculated based on (overseas operating income/total operating income + overseas assets/total assets + total overseas employees/employees)/3 × 100%.

The Shougang Group actively implemented the national “going global” strategy, successively acquired six listed companies in Hong Kong and established many overseas enterprises in Singapore, South Korea, Austria and so on, and Shougang Hierro Peru, with 670 km2 of permanent mining rights, has obvious resource advantages. At present, Shougang has set up overseas branches in 24 countries and regions, becoming a large transnational enterprise group with the highest international influence.
