Recently, at the 2020 National Innovation Festival for Workers in the Steel Industry organized by the National Committee of China Mechanical Metallurgy Building Materials Union, 10 employees from the Shougang Group won the first, second and third prizes respectively for their own technological innovations, and the Shougang Group Labor Union won the title of "Excellent Organization". 

At this Innovation Festival for Workers, a total of 90 projects were granted with 2020 National Technological Innovation Awards for Workers in Steel Industry. Among them, the first prizes were granted to the "research, development and industrialization of key technologies for color-coated bases of high-quality hot-dip galvanized home appliances with high flakiness ratio" by Ren Xinyi and the "research on integrated technology for efficient scale inhibition of large thermal desalination devices" by Tang Zhixin from Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.; the second prizes were granted to the "research, development and application of smart control and unmanned operation for pelletizing" by Li Ming from Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., the "research, development and application of a centralized intelligent control system for continuous annealing and processing line (CAPL)" by Li Li from Shougang Zhixin Qian'an Electromagnetic Material Co., Ltd., the "research and development of an automatic power supply system for covered hot metal ladles" by Qian Wu from the Locomotive Terminal of the Logistics & Warehousing Business Unit of Shougang Shuicheng Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., the "development and application of new abnormal efficient series non-oriented silicon steel productions for Shougang" by Shi Aichen from Shougang Zhixin Qian'an Electromagnetic Material Co., Ltd., and the "research and development of metal grid slag ladles for recycling residues from steelmaking and continuous casting" by Shen Huzhuang from Shougang Equipment Structure Co., Ltd.; and the third prizes were granted to "an online vent device" by Wang Xiaodong from the ironworks of Shougang Changzhi Steel Co., Ltd., the "online monitoring technology for wireless temperature measurement" by Xuan Zhongzhong from the ironworks of Shougang Changzhi Steel Co., Ltd., and the "design and application of a smart ore blending system for open pits" by Wang Shining from the Mining Corporation of Shougang Group Co., Ltd. 

During the Innovation Festival, the Exhibition and Exchange of Technological Innovations of Nationwide Workers in Steel Industry and the Thematic Activity of "Telling Craftsmen's Stories and Promoting Model Workers' Spirits" were carried out at the same time, where the Shougang Group Labor Union prepared the display boards and organized relevant prize winners to participate. The Shougang Group Labor Union conducted various activities according to actual conditions during the Innovation Festival and organized the completion of recommendation, selection, examination & approval, declaration, and other matters related to innovations of the Group's employees. 

In recent years, under the leadership of the Party Committee of Shougang Group, the Shougang Group Labor Union has persisted in implementing the Reform Plan for Industrial Workers' Team Building in the New Era and raising all employees' enthusiasm and initiative in innovation, excellence and entrepreneurship, creating a good environment for employees to learn, practice, and research techniques and skills, master the first-rate skills, and strive to achieve better results in the new era.
