The 7th Construction 21 International "GREEN SOLUTIONS AWARDS" Ceremony was recently held at the World of Buildings exhibition hall of Batimat in France. Reviews from domestic and foreign experts of the China Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance for Healthy Building (CHBA) have unanimously agreed that the "International Special Nomination Award for GREEN SOLUTIONS AWARDS—Sustainable Renovation Grand Prize" should go to the reconstruction project of the old industrial zone West 10 of Winter Olympic Plaza of Shougang.

The reconstruction project of the old industrial zone of Shougang focused on the general goal of protecting the style, inheriting the culture, and stimulating the new energy, and actively promoted the reconstruction, construction, and transformation development of the old industrial zone. Throughout the process, for the three aspects of planning and design, intelligent application, and transformation construction, we have been continuously practicing green intelligent transformation construction all along and successfully achieved the expected goal. Firstly, industrial relics space reconstruction and function regeneration were completed at planning and designing level, excavation and deliberation over the form of industrial relics, and block reservation and space reconstruction without destroying the overall industrial ambience, to ensure perfect continuation of the beauty of plain industry. Secondly, we have realized the high standard certification of green evaluation in the industrial park at the level of energy-saving transformation, carried out the research on the organic combination and effective utilization of old industrial buildings and green renewable energy. Thirdly, we have realized the integration of BIM model data and the creation of digital management platform at the level of building intelligent application. Fourthly, we have optimized and upgraded the key technologies of protective demolition and old reinforcement, and built a new path of transformation and development of the old industrial zone in the city at the level of reconstruction construction. Finally, the project won the "International Special Nomination Award for GREEN SOLUTIONS AWARDS—Sustainable Renovation Grand Prize".

The annual "GREEN SOLUTIONS AWARDS" held by Construction 21 International has been going on for the sixth time. In 2019, there were 8 categories of awards, covering green, low-carbon, and healthy development goals in the field of construction. 192 projects from 37 countries participated in the application of GREEN SOLUTIONS AWARDS. Among them, 9 projects won the international best award and 13 projects won the international special nomination award. The "GREEN SOLUTIONS AWARDS" aims to commend the international excellent projects of people-oriented, environment-friendly, green, healthy, smart low-carbon buildings and eco city concepts, and promote them as international excellent cases of excellent projects and practical experience in coping with global climate change.
