Recently, FAW Group's 2019 red flag new material press conference was held. Shougang, as the only steel enterprise, participated in the press conference. Their first published product DH high strength steel was unveiled successfully, fully demonstrating the R & D strength and industrialization achievements of FAW and Shougang in recent years in the field of new material and technology cooperation.

DH high strength steel of Shougang is based on the traditional dual phase structure of ferrite and martensite, which introduces a certain amount of retained austenite, through the strain induced plasticity produced in the process of deformation, to ensure high strength and higher elongation at the same time. DH high strength steel shows better formability in application. Compared with DP steel, DH high strength steel has obvious advantages in the stable production of complex parts and avoiding cracking during stamping. At the same time, it ensures good welding performance of steel plate and static load, high-speed tensile and fatigue characteristics of welded joint. At present, Shougang has realized the R & D and production of DH590, DH780 and DH980 series products. During FAW Group achievement release activity, the parts such as middle channel reinforcement plate and torque box made of DH high strength steel are showcased, which can play an important supporting role in achieving the goal of car body weight reduction by more than 10%.

The development and application of DH high strength steel is an important achievement under the cooperation background of "FAW-Shougang Automobile Steel Joint Laboratory". In the future, Shougang and FAW Group will further strengthen collaborative innovation, closely contact, and rapidly promote the landing of a batch of new materials such as DH steel and zinc magnesium aluminum plating plate in Hongqi car models, so as to make joint efforts to create the charm of Hongqi automobile.
