On November 2, "2019 Shougang Park Environmental Dance Exhibition" was officially launched in Beijing Shougang Park. The two-day exhibition saw an array of 30 different types and styles of art works, including classical dance, ethnic folk dance, modern dance, hip-hop dance, etc. which was greatly supported by professional art teams both local and abroad, associations of professional dancers, and new literature and art organizations.

Mr. Li Yi, the secretary of the Party group cum vice chairman and secretary of the Secretariat of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Mr. Chen Jianwen, a member of the Party group and secretary of the Secretariat of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Ms. Bai Shuxiang, an honorary member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and honorary chairman of China Dancers Association, Mr. Feng Shuangbai, the chairman of China Dancers Association and vice president of China Literature and Art Foundation, Mr. Luo Bin, the secretary of the Party group and resident vice chairman and secretary general of China Dancers Association, and Mr. Liang Jie, the leader of Shougang Group, graced the occasion. Mr. Luo Bin and Mr. Liang Jie delivered speeches respectively, while Ms. Feng Shuangbai officiated the launch of the Shougang Park Environmental Dance Exhibition 2019.

This exhibition was organized by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, China Dancers Association, and Shougang Group, undertaken by Shougang Park and the Art Dance Center of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, co-organized by the Publicity Department of Shijingshan District Committee, Street Dance Committee of China Dancers Association, and China Ballroom Dance Federation, supported by the Culture Publicity Department of Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Beijing Dancers Association, and China Network Television.

Shougang Park Environmental Dance Exhibition starts with Qunming Lake, with one scene every three steps. The performance is backdropped by the surrounding environment, with the fine shadow of the "Picturesque Beauty" on the riverbank, the passionately devoted "Du Liniang and Liu Mengmei", the "Oriental Red" with gusto, the dance called "Fishing" on the water, and "Running to 2022" that looked forward into the future.

This “environmental dance” exhibition is presented with dancing as its language, with heaven and earth as a picture scroll. Through the docking, generation, and perception of various environmental factors, such as the hands and feet of a dance and architecture, nature, and urban space. Its aim is to explore the dance cultural form of complex and delicate relationship between human and urban environment. Most of the works in this exhibition are newly created based on the environment in Shougang Park, and six works that have won the "Lotus Award" of Chinese dance, such as “The Erguna River” and “Peony Pavilion”, are staged again in Shougang Park to showcase their unique style.

The transfer of stage from theater to industrial park not only breaks the sense of distance between dancers and audience, but also broadens the artistic perspective of dancers, as well as expanding the artistic horizon and potential of every dancer, and opens a new aesthetic experience for the audience.
