On July 29, at the 10th Session of the 5th Executive Director (Enlarged) Conference and Labor Model Commendation Conference of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, a total of 10 units of Shougang won the “Advanced Collective of the National Iron and Steel Industry”; 8 employees won the “Labor Model of the National Steel Industry”, and one employee won the “Advanced Worker of the National Iron and Steel Industry”.

During the conference, Qinggele Jirigele from Shougang Research Institute of Technology delivered a speech on behalf of the labor model workers at the production line of the national iron and steel industry. She said that they should not forget our initial intentions but should keep our mission in mind, continue to work hard at the front of steel scientific research and make contributions to the advancement of the technology before iron making and the high-quality green development of Chinese iron and steel industry as a worker in the iron and steel industry.

It is reported that the selection and commendation activity of “Advanced Collective, Labor Model and Advanced Worker of the National Iron and Steel Industry” is organized every five years. This year witnessed the third selection and commendation activity of the iron and steel industry. It was jointly carried out by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the China Iron and Steel Industry Association. The selection and commendation activity which lasted for one entire year had two reviews and three announcements from the beginning of its application to the announcement of the final result. In this commendation conference, a total of 97 units won the title of “Advanced Collective of the National Iron and Steel Industry”; 96 employees the title of “Labor Model of the National Iron and Steel Industry”; and 4 employees the title of “Advanced Worker of the National Iron and Steel Industry”. Employees who win the title of “Labor Model of the National Iron and Steel Industry” and “Advanced Workers of the National Iron and Steel Industry” enjoy the same treatment as the winners of provincial and ministerial commendation awards.
