Release Time:2019-10-18 10:25:11

On June 2, the 4th "Capital State-owned Enterprises Opening Day" was launched, with the theme of “A Brilliant Seventy Years, Re-compose New Chapters". More than 100 teachers and students from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and the North China University of Technology went to Shougang Park to visit the new Shougang in the past 100 years and feel the beauty of the "plain face" of the remains of the Jingxi Industry.

This year coincides with the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The event aimed to create an environment which reflects a positive public-opinion, establish a good image of state-owned enterprises and make the general public further understand them. Amongst the organizations which collaborated in the event were the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the Beijing Municipal Committee of Education and Industry, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Information Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions, the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Beijing Women's Federation. The fourth "Capital State-owned Enterprises Opening Day" fully demonstrated the great changes and brilliant achievements of the capital state-owned enterprises throughout the past 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. This further excavated the efforts and contributions made by the capital state-owned enterprises since the founding of the People's Republic of China, sung aloud the powerful voice of the new era of the capital's economy, publicized the new style and features of state-owned enterprises and offered tribute to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China with practical actions.

On the opening day, 48 enterprises in the whole system opened their doors to the public, totalling a number of 126 open routes. Shougang opened the industrial relics characteristic line of the park, including the pottery building which boasts a long history. The office area of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee was transformed by industrial relics, the once star blast furnace, the "fashion show" three blast furnaces and the glass landscape platform of three blast furnaces.

College teachers and students visited the Shougang exhibition hall pottery building, Xiuchi, the office area of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and the underground exhibition hall, and boarded the 70-meter-high glass landscape platform of three blast furnaces to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Shougang Park and listen to the introduction of professionals.

Guo Wenming, a teacher at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, said, "I have been to Shougang before. It feels very different to be here again today. The environment is more beautiful and the construction is more distinctive. This time we brought students to let them feel the changes in recent years. Today, the changes in Shougang Park are earth-shaking.” Shi Peixuan, a student at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, said: "The industrial beauty of Shougang Park, together with the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and the Winter Olympic Games project gives a sense of collision between history and modern times, which is very shocking. As young college students, we see the changes and development of Shougang, feel the mission of dedication of industrial workers, and further clarify our mission. We must make contributions to society and the country in the future.”

Walking in Shougang Park, we can see the industrial relics of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, Xiuchi Landscape and the transformed three blast furnaces. Here, every aspect of industrial civilization can be found and appreciated through sight and touch, which makes teachers and students admire and take pictures one after another. Professor Zhang Tieshan of the North China University of Technology said excitedly: "Through visiting and feeling three elements, the reuse of industrial sites reflects industrial elements, the design of venues, Xiuchi Landscape and the overall environment of the park reflects fashionable elements, while the office area of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, which makes full use of industrial remains, reflects green elements." Zhang Xinpeng, a graduate student of the North China University of Technology, said: "I’m extremely excited to stand on the 70-meter-high glass landscape platform of the three blast furnaces overlooking Shougang Park. Previously, I learned from textbooks about the case of the transformation of the Ruhr Industrial Base in Germany. I feel that the transformation of Shougang Industrial Zone is better. I believe that Shougang will be more brilliant tomorrow."
