Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security awarded the title of “14th National Technical Expert” to Wei Jianping of Sho ugang Machinery & Electric Company. 

Wei Jianping has served as a fitter, lathe worker, milling worker, CNC lathe worker, CNC machining center operator, and CNC machine tool debugger, and is currently Deputy Chief Engineer and Director of CNC Tool Management Center of Beijing Shougang Machinery & Electric Co., Ltd., as well as the person in charge of Wei Jianping Studio. He is diligent in study, hard-working, and makes continuous progress. In order to master the cutting-edge technology of CNC machining, he works hard to improve the processing efficiency of main products by more than 20%, and the product qualification rate has increased from 69% to 100%, greatly improving the processing efficiency and quality. He has become a CNC lathe senior technician, and CNC machining center operator technician in succession. In addition, he has been a member of the national CNC Professional Committee, senior referee of national and Beijing CNC skills competitions, and Beijing CNC lathe senior examiner and supervisor, becoming a leader in the Beijing CNC industry. He has won the National May 1st Labor Medal and titles such as the National People’s Star of Study, the National Worker Innovation Guidance Expert, the first “Beijing Craftsman”, the Star of Study of the Capital Citizens, Outstanding Communist Party Member of Beijing SASAC System, and highly skilled talent who has outstanding contributions to Beijing City. Driven and guided by Wei Jianping, more than 300 CNC lathe workers, CNC milling workers, and CNC machining center operators and technicians have been trained. During his tenure as the technical coach of the Beijing team in the National CNC Competition, he led the Beijing team to win two group championships and nine individual championships nationwide, and was awarded the title of excellent coach in Beijing many times.

 “Wei Jianping Studio” has become one of the first worker innovation studios, chief technician studio for Beijing CNC lathe workers, and demonstration worker (labor model) innovation studio of national mechanical metallurgy building materials systems. It has been recognized by the All-China Federati on of Trade Unions as a national model labor model and craftsman talent innovation studio, Shougang technology innovation incubator, and skill and talent training base.

11 key projects were completed, 13 best operating methods were created, and 27 rationalization proposals were implemented, creating economic benefits of 11.5 million yuan for the enterprise.

It is reported that the selection was recommended by the departments of human resources and social security in various provinces (autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government), relevant departments of the State Council, trade associations, and central enterprises, and was strictly evaluated by experts. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security has awarded a total of 30 comrades the honorary title of the “China Skills Award” and 300 comrades the honorary title of the “National Technical Talent”. At the same time, it also issued a notice to praise 67 units and 76 individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the cultivation of national skilled personnel.
