On October 25th, the 2018 Shougang Automotive Steel Technical Forum was held in Qian’an Conference Center of Shougang, attended by more than 300 participants, including Liu Jianhui, leader of Shougang Group with related professionals of Shougang Institute of Technology, Jingtang Company, the joint-stock company, and over 100 users of the Shougang automotive sheet. 

Liu Jianhui expressed his sincere welcoming to the experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs attending this forum, and his heartfelt thanks to everyone for their long-term trust and support for Shougang. Since 2014, Shougang has entered a new stage of transformation and development by comprehensively deepening its reform, established a strategic positioning of "one pole carrying two poles" and realized the equal and coordinated development of steel and urban comprehensive service providers by building a new capital operation platform. The steel industry aims the world class, enhancing the comprehensive competitiveness of "manufacturing + service", and forms ten high-end product series such as automotive sheet, electrical steel, and tinning sheet.

Shougang automotive sheet was put on the market in 2009, and ever since, its sales rose sharply. The total output in the year of 2017 exceeded 3 million tons, ranking the second highest in China. At the same time, the variety is getting abundant year by year. At present, it has achieved full coverage under 1,180MPa. The market recognition of high-strength, panel, and GA alloying products has been constantly improved, and it has been widely used in various large automobile enterprises. The acid pickling automotive sheet products have achieved full coverage with the strength level of 800 MPa and below. The products cover complex phase steel, double phase steel, high-expansion steel, etc.

Shougang automotive sheet has been focusing on differentiated development, and the products gradually lead the development. Shougang automotive sheet is committed to providing customers with overall solutions, while EVI technology and service capabilities have been continuously improving. At present, it has successfully carried out EVI cooperation projects of more than 20 vehicle types with automotive enterprises. Shougang automotive sheet always pays attention to the user's experience, suggesting the meaning that they will follow the concept of intelligent manufacturing, service, and win-win as ever.

In the forum, Special Secretary General Zhang Ning of the Society of Automotive Engineers of China(SAE-China) carried out a correlation analysis of the “New Journey of Chinese Automobile Industry under the New Industrial Revolution”. The chief researchers Han Yun, Li Yan, Wei Dong and Li Chunguang of Shougang Institute of Technology put forward a “Solution of High Strength Steel Based on Parts Forming Safety”, “New Type of Automotive Steel with Easy Stamping and High Corrosion Resistant Coating”, “High DOI Environmental-friendly Automobile Panel Steel”, and “Shougang EVI Capacity Improvement and Vehicle Design Optimization Program”; Shougang Zhixin Electromagnetic Company introduced their “Development and Application of Silicon Steel Products”; while Jingtang Cold Rolling Operations Department put forward the “Introduction of Special Production Line for Lightweight Materials”, and an AUTOFORM putting forward an “Introduction to AUTOFORM Performance Database Applications”.

In the afternoon, the participants held a group discussion on the new materials, supply chain, and the EVI service for automotive steel. During the discussion, they visited the automatic analysis center of the joint-stock company, second hot rolling, and the acid pickling line of Zhixin Company.
