Recently, Shougang Construction Group and CATIC International successfully signed a deal for an overseas project which is worth nearly 200 million RMB – the UAE Sharjah Majaz2 Commercial and Residential Building Project, making contributions in responding to the cooperation between China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to build a community of shared future of “Belt and Road” between China and the UAE and to better benefit the people of both countries.

Related leaders of Shougang Construction Group were invited to Abu Dhabi, UAE, to conduct high-level joint negotiations with the head of AVIC International. The two sides held friendly talks on broadening the scope and increasing the scale of cooperation. They fully affirmed the good cooperative relations formed over the years, and successfully signed a cooperation agreement for the UAE Sharjah Majaz2 Commercial and Residential Building Project.

In 2013, Shougang Construction Group and AVIC International Engineering cooperated for the first time on the Ethiopian Aviation Maintenance Paint Hangar and Apron Project. In the years that followed, they collaborated on the Abu Dhabi Seaview Building and the Central Park Project in the UAE. The signed UAE Sharjah Majaz2 Commercial and Residential Building Project is located in the Sharjah area of the United Arab Emirates. It is a 31-story G+5P+25 structure commercial and residential building with a total height of 122 meters, and a construction area of 37,800 square meters. The total contract amount is about RMB 200 million. The signing of this agreement is a solid step for Shougang Construction Group to implement the “13th Five-Year Plan” and the spirit of Shougang’s “two sessions” and strengthen external cooperation.
