At 10:18 a.m., in the majestic national anthem, the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Tonghua Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. started and themed “inheriting 60 years, entering a new era, constructing new Tonggang, and creating new splendor again.”

In the center of the square, 1,958 worker representatives, who imply the establishment of the Tonghua Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. in 1958, formed a neat square team. Facing the national flag and the factory flag, they raised their right fists to swear: “We are glorious Tonggang people who stay true to and remember the mission. On the long road to enter the new era and construct new Tonggang, we will make great efforts, work hard and serve the country...,” which resounded through in 10 li in the steel city.

The company has experienced 60 years of the struggles and glories from 1958 to 2018.

Through the principle of saving economy, rallying people and boosting morale, Tonggang people raised the factory flag, sang the factory song, took an oath, commended “Workers with Meritorious Services,” “Tonggang Artisans,” and “Tonggang Stars,” and carried out hiking activities to celebrate its birthday.

For 60 years, the company has paid taxes of a total of 14.3 billion yuan to Jilin Province, making outstanding contributions to the province’s economic development.
