This kind of affirmation is hard-won, is the result of efficient synergy and close cooperation in the Group. Over the past two years, Beijing Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. has finished the high-level and high-quality renovation and decoration of the office area of the Winter Olympic Games and the construction of surrounding ecological environment with the cooperation of the participating units. The office area of the Winter Olympic Games is successfully delivered and praised greatly by Bach, the Chairman of the International Olympic Committee, which promotes the influence of the park. As the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games entered the “Beijing Cycle”, the development and construction of the Shougang Park has once again received the attention of people from all walks of life inside and outside Shougang. The Group has successfully held the “Swearing and Mobilization Conference on Serving the Preparation and Project Construction of the 2022 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games” to propose specific arrangements and requirements for the development and construction of the park. Beijing Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. conscientiously implements the spirit of the mobilization conference, and speeds up the construction of various projects in strict accordance with the following requirements, namely “better a big push at the start than a mad rush at the end”, “ensuring quality and quantity” and the time nodes.

Following the Winter Olympic Plaza, the winter training center of the General Administration of Sport of China is another key project transformed in the Shougang Park to serve the Winter Olympic Games. After the General Administration of Sport of China and Shougang jointly signed the “Framework Agreement on Preparing for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games and Building the Demonstration Zone of the National Sports Industry” in 2017, the transformation of the clean coal workshop into the figure skating hall, the short- track speeding skating hall and the curling hall began immediately. The project adheres to the concept of retention, darning and innovation, as well as takes the preservation and reuse of industrial resources as the core. On the basis of retaining the main features of the original building in the old industrial plant, it is rebuilt through restoration, transformation and addition.

In order to fully guarantee the “zero difference” of national team members during the training and competition, Beijing Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. strictly follows the requirements of the Winter Olympic Games to promote the construction of the stadium, the ice-making process and various facilities to meet the specific standards for illumination of the stadium lights, the temperature and humidity of the air conditioner and for the dust removal. In the renovation of the figure skating hall, Beijing Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. specially hired the international first-class ice-making team AST to participate in the ice-making process, which ensured the completion of the production in 7 days through24 hours of continuous operation, enabling the national figure skating team members to start training on the ice successfully by June 23. The national short-track speeding skating team also immediately entered the Shougang Park and began ice training on June 26. The curling hall has already started ice making. In addition, hotel apartments, tennis halls, ice hockey halls and No. 1 athletes’ apartments are proceeding as planned.

 As the only snow project in the urban area of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the importance of the construction of the Shougang skiing platform is self-evident. On September 13, 2017, after the International Olympic Committee determined the site selection plan for the Shougang skiing platform, Beijing Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. organized the design unit to deeply explore the cultural value of the industrial heritage of the Shougang Park and completed the design of the Shougang skiing platform. Construction will start in the near future. In the transformation of Shougang skiing platform, the original old factory buildings and industrial components of Shougang will be repaired and rebuilt, meanwhile the industrial heritage and the operation of the Winter Olympic Games will be perfectly combined. At the same time, its construction will drive the landscape integration of the surrounding areas. After the game, it will be opened to the public as a sports and leisure park, further promoting the promotion of the popular ice and snow sports in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and making new contributions to the urban renewal service in Beijing.

At the same time, as the service guarantees the winter Olympics, Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. clearly defined the tasks and reversed the construction period to accelerate the construction of other projects. The Engineering Construction Department has formulated the construction node plans for the Xiuchi, the Three Blast Furnace Museum, the core areas of the Winter Olympic Games and winter training centers, and organized the construction units to advance in an orderly manner. In order to transform the Xiuchi into an important functional bearing area featuring both a waterscape landscape and a large-scale event, the Engineering Construction Department organized Shougang Construction Group Co., Ltd. and other units to fight day and night, and built the underground space of the original industrial drying pool into a new underwater garage with pipelines, fire control, drainage and other facilities, which preserves the original water surface effect of Xiuchi and effectively solves the problem of parking difficulty in the North District. Shougang Construction Investment Co., Ltd. called on its staff to carry forward the “artisan spirit”, promote the renovation of the Three Blast Furnace Museum, complete the construction of the sightseeing glass landscape platform, and realize the transformation of the industrial blast furnace to the civil building. From June 4 to June 8, during the Summary Meeting of the PyeongChang Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games of International Olympic Committee, the landscapes and practical functions of the Three Blast Furnace Museum and Xiuchi District were all well received by the participants.

In addition, projects such as Beiqitong, desulfurization workshop renovation, and ecological landscape corridor projects are progressing steadily as planned. The first-level land development project in the southeast district passed the cost pre-audit meeting and the land price meeting; in cooperation with the city and district earth storage centers, the on-site pre-acceptance of the first batch of listed land parcels were completed; and the collective agreement with the ancient city and Jingyang Village on the land acquisition compensation standard was achieved with the planning and adjustment of the southern district was promoted simultaneously.
