The automobile sheet is one of the three strategic products of Shougang. After ten years of development, the market share of Shougang’s automotive sheet ranks second in China. In 2017, it sales volume was 3.05 million tons, hitting a record high. In terms of the R & D of automotive sheets, Shougang Co., Ltd. insists on the green concept and focuses on promoting the production and R&D of high-strength steel, so as to greatly reduce the vehicles’ weight while satisfying the automobile performance. It takes the lead in realizing the first production of the new product, the automotive sheet DH780+Z, develops faster than other enterprises in the aspects such as cooperative R&D, technical support and material database improvement and meets the stamping requirements of automobile complex structural parts on the basis of ensuring the automobile light weight and improving the automobile safety. In 2017, the quality defects of inner and outer sheets of Shougang Co., Ltd. providing to BMW was “0” ppm in ten months, becoming the first supplier of automobile manufacturers such as BMW, Geely, BAIC and Great Wall. The automobile sheets providing to Beijing Benz increase by 162%, being one of the top three suppliers. The manufacturing technology of automotive sheets has been continuously upgraded, and the gigabit-class ultra-high-strength automotive sheets have been successfully put on the market. In addition, SG700/750 automobile lightweight structural steel, 960-MPa refitted vehicle steels and the like have been successfully developed, and above 500-MPa high-strength and ultra-fine grain wheel steels have been steadily supplied in batches. The steel for no-painted packed tower SQ420NH, hot-rolled fine steel SK95, the expansion sleeve PZ801 and other new products are put on the market first. Shougang Co., Ltd. was rated as “2017 Green Benchmarking Enterprise for Chinese Automotive Materials (Xiqing)” and “Excellent Manufacturer 3A-grade Enterprise for Automotive Sheets in National Iron and Steel Industry Chain”.

As a rising star in the field of electrical steel, Shougang Co., Ltd. has highly efficient, green, clean and advanced full-process silicon steel production equipment. Since the beginning of its production, it has been adhering to “high-end, high-efficiency, green and environmentally friendly” product positioning and development concept. In recent years, its product output, quality and manufacturing processes have been improved constantly, and many global or domestic leading starting products have been developed, forming a cluster of high-performance and low-loss superior products. Users have achieved significant energy saving and emission reduction effects through the use of Shougang's electrical steel materials. Especially, the electrical steel materials for new energy automotive drive motors have been highly recognized and applied by well-known enterprises, and Shougang Co., Ltd. has become the second electrical steel manufacturing enterprise for new energy automotive special series of products in China. Last year, the electrical steel group standard ”Green Design Products Evaluation Standards for Non-oriented Electrical Steel for New Energy Vehicles” that was set by Shougang Co., Ltd. as the leader was released and implemented, which would greatly promote the technological innovation, quality improvement, green manufacturing in electrical steel industry and the healthy development of the new energy automotive industry. In the field of oriented silicon steel, Shougang Co., Ltd. positions itself in “high-end, high-efficiency, green and environmentally friendly” product R&D direction, achieving full coverage of 20SQGD070 to 30SQGD120 and high-efficiency and high-quality production of 0.30-millimeter, 0.27-millimeter and 0.20-millimeter products. Its overall strength has reached the level of the world’s first echelon, with its products applied to the national key projects such as the highest-grade double-million-capacity AC transformer manufacturing and the first smart substation project for high-speed rails.
