Shougang Group Co., Ltd. recently received a thank-you note from Changzhou XD Transformer Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as “XD Transformer”), which stated that it developed three-phase composite 450MVA/400kV autotransformers for the Angolan LAúCA-HUAMBO connecting line project, four of which used Shougang oriented silicon steel and passed all factory tests at one time. All data were better than the agreement requirements and were highly valued by the owners. It is understood that this project is the largest Lauca hydroelectric power transmission and transformation project in Angola. The overall operation will effectively relieve the country’s strained power supply situation and benefit hundreds of thousands of households along the route, providing a strong guarantee for economic development.
