Recently, at the award ceremony of the Third “Most Beautiful Worker in the Capital” sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, 10 ordinary workers from different industries and positions in the capital, including Shen Huzhuang from Mining Corporation of Shougang were awarded the title of “the Most Beautiful Worker in the Capital.”

The “Most Beautiful Workers in the Capital” selection activity is one of the third large-scale public welfare activities entitled “Bring Smiles Home and Give the Most Beautiful Workers Thumbs-up”. It was also one of the warm-sending activities given by the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, sending warmth to ordinary workers who work in the frontline throughout the year.

Shen Huzhuang is the Chief Engineer of the Shougang Equipment Structure Co., Ltd., Qian’an and an outstanding CPC member of Shougang. Around service to the iron and steel process, he developed innovative practice, innovative products and created nearly 10 million yuan of output value.  For the treatment of residual steel slag, he independently designed and manufactured the permanent grille cast residue plate which can reduce more than 10 million yuan of cost for users after being put into use. Two achievements, namely “the equipment for self-discharging slag iron under the smelting high temperature environment” and “high efficiency recovery tank for refining slag”, obtained the patent of invention and the patent of utility model respectively.

In this selection of “the Most Beautiful Worker in the Capital”, Li Gang, a Shougang model worker from the Iron Ore Production Technology Section of the Mining Water Plant of Shougang and Chen Qingli, a Shougang model worker and the chief driver of the 057machine station of Qian’an iron and steel work zone of the locomotive depot, the Department of Transport were shortlisted as “the Most Beautiful Worker in the Capital.” The Mining Corporation of Shougang was awarded the best Organization Award.

It is reported that in last year’s second selection, Wang Wenchao, the operator of the Shougang Mining Water Works iron ore mine truck, also won the title of “the most beautiful worker in the capital”.
