On the morning of June 4, the IOC PyeongChang Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Debrief was opened in the office area of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Shougang. On the afternoon of June 5, the Signing Ceremony of the Official Urban Renewal Services Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 was held here. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the patterns of the snowboarding diving platform, four water cooling towers and Xishitongcang which stood majestically, the characters of “Gather in Winter Olympic Games to Cast the Dream into Steel” in blue, the logo of Shougang Group “SG” and the combination of the emblems of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games and the Winter Paralympic Games were particularly striking on the background plate in the signing ceremony venue. With the wonderful display of the blessing video of “the 100-year-old Shougang Casts the Dream with the Winter Olympic Games” presented by Shougang employees, the Signing Ceremony of the Official Urban Renewal Services Partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 was opened at the Flag-rising Square in the office area of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Shougang Park. Shougang Group then has officially become the official partner of the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. It’s ranked among the top sponsors of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. This is the first time that the category of urban renewal service providers has appeared in the sponsorship history of the Olympic Games.

After industrial resources are reserved and reused, it has been transformed into the modern office of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, portraying the brilliant vitality. The office building and the conference center are transformed from silos, stock bins, and transfer stations. On the basis of retaining the features of the original buildings, they combine industrial relics with modern elements. The distant trains quietly stop on the rails. The belt corridor, which is set up on the square, has been decorated anew while retaining the original framework. In the sunshine, the office of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games presents the blend of history and modernity, exuding the unique cultural charm of Shougang.

Parsons praised the Shougang Industrial Park for its spectacular scale in his speech, which was very gratifying. The theme of this debrief was “Olympic Learning: March Towards the New Era.” The debrief focused on improving the capabilities of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter \Games to host the games.
