Recently, the China Association for Quality issued the “Decision on Quality Technology Awards for 2017”, in which Shougang’s one quality technology achievement and six Six Sigma outstanding projects were awarded. “Construction and Application of SPC-based Total Process Quality Management and Control Platform” of Beijing Shougang Co., Ltd. won the Quality Technology Excellence Award; “Increasing the Accuracy of X-Ray Fluorescence Fuse Piece for Analysis of Sinter and the Degree of Total Iron in Pellet Ore”, “Increasing the Analysis Rate of Concentrate Fines and Imported Ore Instruments” and “Increasing the Percentage of ‘Oxygen’ Three-hit Rate of Automobile Outer Panels” of Beijing Shougang Co., Ltd., “Increasing the Pass Rate of Special Roughness Products in 1,700 Cold Rolling Process”, “Reducing the Occurrence Rate of Tinplate Hot Rolling Defects,” “Developing Tin Plates for High-sulphur Protein Beverage  & Food Cans” of Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. won the Award for Six Sigma Outstanding Projects.

Since 2017, Shougang has continuously promoted refined and lean management in accordance with the requirements of “deepening the promotion of Six Sigma projects such as DFSS and DMAIC”, continuously strengthened the construction of lean systems, focused on product development and process improvement, and organized and implemented 42 Six Sigma projects, creating the total revenue of 68.18 million yuan; conducted equipment maintenance, energy storms and other activities, implemented 60 TPM focus topics, 58,876 unreasonable site rectification sites, accepted 139 sets of star-level equipment, and took 879 energy leakage countermeasures; through solid promotion of Six Sigma, TPM management and other activities, greatly promoted the “manufacturing + service” ability. Shougang Jingtang continuously promotes refined and lean management, and adopts a flexible “project system” as a means to establish a scientific on-site evaluation and problem-solving mechanism and strives to implement the use of Six Sigma tools to solve normal problems. Since 2015, Shougang Jingtang has implemented a total of 400 projects. The number of people who passed the black belt qualification test has reached 40. As of now, it has won more than 10 national and provincial science and technology awards, which has greatly promoted fine management and lean manufacturing capacity.
