The final of the 6th Beijing “Youth Source Innovation Competition” of “BAIC Cup” has come to an end recently. After professional, earnest and meticulous review of the judges, “The Energy Taking the Desalination of Sea Water as the Carrier and Technology Integration of High Efficient Utilization of Resources” of Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. finally won the Gold Award with the highest total score. Moreover, the “Dry Separation of Incineration Bottom Ash of Municipal Solid Waste” of Shougang Environment Industry Co., Ltd. and “Research and Application Project on Ultralow Nitrogen Combustion Technology of 300MW Coal-coal Gas Mix-combustion Boiler” of Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. respectively won the Silver Award and the Bronze Award.

The competition is sponsored by Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and organized by the committee of BAIC Group Co., Ltd. of the Communist Youth League. The final judges consist of the experts and scholars of scientific research institutions and institutions of higher learning and the investors of venture capital institutions. The award-winning works of this competition passed three stages including the preliminary, quarter-final and final. After two months of professional, scientific and rigorous review process, 20 projects stood out from 177 competition projects and entered the final.

It is reported that the Youth League Committee of Shougang Group recommended a total of 11 projects to take part in the competition, and three of them successfully entered the final and won the awards.
