Recently, Beijing Aidi Geological Investigation & Foundation Construction Company of Shougang Geological Exploration Institute has passed the qualification confirmation of national new high-tech enterprise and obtained “New High-tech Enterprise Certificate”.

New high-tech enterprises refer to those enterprises which are knowledge-intensive and technology-intensive economic entities in China carrying out business activities in the areas of high and new technology that are supported by the state and take it as a basis to continuously carry out research and development and transformation of technological achievements and form the core independent intellectual property rights of enterprises. New high-tech enterprises should simultaneously satisfy the conditions such as “enterprises possess the ownership of intellectual property that plays a core supporting role in their main products (services), and the technology of main products (services) of enterprises playing a core supporting role should be in the range stipulated in ‘the Field of High and New Technology with the Key Support by the Country’ and the assessment of enterprises’ innovation ability should meet the corresponding requirements”.

Beijing Aidi Geological Investigation & Foundation Construction Company is a state-owned, wholly-owned and public-owned enterprise established by Shougang Geological Exploration Institute in 1984 to meet the developmental needs of market economy. Its main business is engineering investigation and construction. The project includes the design and construction, testing, engineering surveying of geotechnical engineering investigation, urban planning surveying, hydrogeological investigation and shaft sinking, the design and construction of geological disasters investigation, the detection of underground pipe network and the like. When serving Shougang, it continues to expand its business for the society. In recent years, with the guidance and support of Shougang Geological Exploration Institute, Aidi Company has set up a “leading group for declaring new high-tech enterprises”, and Technology and Quality Department, Business and Development Department, Finance Department, Department of Human Resources, General Office and other departments worked together to analyze the confirmed indexes of new high-tech enterprises in detail, strictly managed the research and development projects and completed the declaration on time and efficiently according to “Administrative Measures for Determination of High and New Technology Enterprise”, “Guidelines for the Administration of Hi-tech Enterprise Recognition” and other relevant documents and regulations.

The successful qualification confirmation of new high-tech enterprises of Aidi Company owes to the full implementation of the strategy of developing enterprises through science and technology and continuing practice of scientific and technological innovation. At present, Aidi Company owns 2 patents for invention including “Support Method for Short Soil Nailing Diaphragm Wall and Foundation Pit” and “A Deformation Monitoring Method of Support Level of Foundation Pit and Side Slope”, 29 patents for utility models such as “A Hole Video Surveying Device” and 7 established-project innovation projects of special technology. These achievements in scientific research involved in all the fields such as the investigation, design, measurement and construction of geotechnical specialty strongly support the Company’s successful qualification confirmation of new high-tech enterprises. At the 6th conference of China Metallurgical Construction Association, Aidi Company stood out from more than 400 companies and won the title, “an advanced company striving for excellence in engineering” by virtue of the outstanding contributions of promoting the construction of “technological innovative, resource-saving and eco-friendly industries” and the promotion of developing the industry technology.
