Recently, the results of “Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements in 2017” conducted by the Chinese Association of Staff Education and Vocational Training were announced. Shougang Institute of Technology and Shougang Technician College made exciting achievements, winning 93 awards.

According to the “Measures for the Selection of Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements of the Chinese Association of Staff Education and Vocational Training”, the Academic Committee of the Chinese Association of Staff Education and Vocational Training upheld the principle of “being geared to the grassroots, encouraging innovation, selecting the best candidates from excellent ones”, organized more than one hundred staff education and vocational training experts from across the country to carry out the preliminary review, preliminary assessment, re-assessment and centralized assessment of the results of 2017 submitted, and successfully completed the selection of nine major scientific research achievements including theses and teaching materials. Shougang Institute of Technology received 50 awards including 6 first prizes, 12 second prizes, 21 third prizes and 11 excellence prizes and its achievements include theses, subjects, courseware, teaching materials, school-based teaching materials, quality video courses, micro-course online videos and teaching plans; in the meantime, Shougang Technician College won 43 awards covering 7 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 13 third prizes and 17 excellence prizes and its achievements include theses, subjects, research reports, courseware, teaching materials, school-based teaching materials, micro-course online videos, teaching plans and teaching cases.

The outstanding achievements made in this contest are the result of continuous improvement of teachers of both schools in education and teaching. Shougang Institute of Technology and Shougang Technician College said that it is necessary to continuously integrate wisdom with strength, give full play to the leading role of scientific research in training skilled personnel, and contribute to the development of highly-skilled personnel training, staff education and vocational training.
