Recently, the Metallurgical Industry Quality Management Union released the list of “2017 Annual Products with Excellent Quality in the Metallurgical Industry”. After the plan review, pre-examination of application materials, on-site assessment, product testing, expert evaluation, online publicity and other aspects of rigorous assessment, based on the principle of fairness, objectivity and putting quality before quantity, the quality of 71 products from 29 companies is chosen as the products with excellent quality in the metallurgical industry. With 12 listed products, Shougang Group is at the top. Among them, Shougang Qian’an Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. owns 5 products, Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. owns 3, Beijing Shougang Cold Rolling Co., Ltd. owns 2, and Shougang Changzhi Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. owns 2.

In domestic market, one of every two inverter air conditioners is equipped with the electrical steel of Shougang. The application range has been gradually increasing in the emerging markets, such as new energy vehicle drive motor, UAV motor and robot servo motor with non-oriented electrical steel. In 2016, the market share of non-oriented electrical steel ranked the first in the country. Oriented electrical steel has wide application in the manufacturing of UHV and EHV transformers of 500kV and above, making Shougang the fourth in the world to who is able to use low-temperature slab heating technology to produce high-magnetic-oriented silicon steel and achieve the full coverage of high magnetic induction oriented silicon steel grades. It has successfully entered well-known enterprises at home and abroad, such as State Grid, Southern Power Grid, Siemens, ABB and Alstom, and its business partners are from 23 countries and regions such as the ROK and Italy. With the second largest share of domestic market, Shougang is the world’s first camp of transformer materials.

Tin plate has achieved the full coverage of domestic high-end customers and the alternatives of some imported materials. High-end varieties like DR material, high tin, milk cans, high sulfur resistance and red iron are stably supplied. It has the second largest share of domestic market.

In recent years, with its advanced management philosophy, Shougang Changzhi Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. has strengthened the monitoring of the quality of steel products from the source and strictly implemented the standardization of production.
