Recently, Beijing Shougang Construction Group Co., Ltd. received the bid-winning notice of Kazakhstan TKU & UK project send by the CITIC Construction Co., Ltd.  After the Kazakhstan TKU & UK project department of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd. made comprehensive assessment, it has decided that Shougang Construction Group is the bid-winning company, who will be responsible for the following projects: "Construction, completion and maintenance of any defects and other tasks of TKU section KM287-KM325 tenders and related ancillary works, and project management work of TKU section KM880-KM967 (including its related ancillary projects) constructed by members of the consortium according to the commission and authorization of  CITIC Construction Co., Ltd.”

The Kazakhstan TKU & UK National Highway Renovation Project has a total length of 764 km (including 54 km of level-1 road and 710 km of level-2 road) from Tardi Kurgan to Usti Kamenogorsk, across East Kazakhstan and Almaty, of which 312 km is located in the territory of Almaty and 452 km is located in the East Kazakhstan. The contract is an EPC contract, which means that the CITIC construction will form a general contractor consortium with local companies, and CITIC Construction will act as the leading party of the consortium, responsible for management, survey and design of the entire project and construction work safety of the KM287 ~ KM685 project. There are two local consortium companies, who are responsible for construction work safety of KM685 ~ KM1073 project. The duration of the project is 54 months from the date of construction. The warranty period is 24 months.

Since November 2015, Shougang Construction Group has tracked the project and participated in the construction subcontracting partner unit organized by CITIC Construction Company. Shougang Construction Group has conducted a site investigation with CITIC Construction and organized a technical team to study the feasibility report. In June, September and November of 2016, Shougang Construction Group cooperated with CITIC construction to make a comprehensive budget quotation. In May and July of 2017, we assigned business staff and technical staff to Kazakhstan and cooperated with CITIC construction project to start the preparatory work. In the past year, Shougang Construction Group's overall performance was approved by the general contractor, and they eventually won the bid for all construction, completion work of TKU section KM287-KM325 tenders and related ancillary works, maintenance of any defects and other construction tasks.
