On the August 8^th, the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was held grandly in the Mass Culture and Sports Center of Ethnic Minorities, Xincheng District, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia. A giant basket-shaped landscape flower bed sits in the culture square outside the main venue. Festive and dazzlingly beautiful, it contrasts strongly with the blue sky and white clouds. It is a special gift from Shougang Construction Group to celebrate this event.

The landscape flower bed is made up of a base of 4.6 m in diameter and 36 mm in thickness, a basket belly of 4.2 m in diameter and 4.8 m in height, a basket tray of 11.5 m in diameter and a core of 10.7 m in height, adding up to a total weight of 98 tons.

After receiving the task of developing and making the flower bed on May 18^th this year, the Steel Structure Branch of Shougang Construction Group quickly organized the capable Project Department to be involved in the design of the construction plan, as well as drawing, material approach, development and making, and other organization work related to the construction. Due to the large size of each component in the project, the need for surface protection at the worksite and the tight deadline, the construction unit chose cranes to ensure smooth delivery of relevant work based on the site condition, component weight and crane performance. After finishing on June 30^th, all components were loaded and transported on July 4^th and reached the site for installation and assembly on July 6^th. The base was transported and installed as a whole. The basket belly was divided into two pipe columns of 2.4 m for transport and installation. The basket tray was divided into a core tube of 5.3 mm in diameter, 6 trusses and part of chords for transport to the site and assembly. The basket’s core was divided into three parts for transport to the site and assembly. After the sprays were assembled on July 14^th, the construction personnel hoisted the components and finished their task promptly, smoothly and perfectly at 7 p.m. on schedule under the hot sun, for which they received high praise by the owner. It laid a solid foundation for the development of subsequent projects and presented a heavy gift for the grand celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
