Shougang Has Been Included in the List of China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands in 2017 with a brand value of RMB 33.168 billion

Recently, organized by World Brand Lab, the 14th World Brand Summit was held in Beijing. At the summit, the analysis report of China's 500 Most Valuable Brands in 2017 was released. Shougang Group was in the list again, ranking the 107th place overall and secured the 2nd place among steel enterprises, and its brand value increases from RMB 28.057 billion in 2016 to RMB 33.168 billion in 2017.

In recent years, in the face of new trend and requirement of transformation and development, the party committee of Shougang Group has further implemented the development strategy of "taking both ends into account" to vigorously enhance the competitiveness of steel industry. Transformation in the non-steel industry and industries of Beijing has made steady progress. Meanwhile, Shougang further promotes the all-rounded and deep reform, improves the modern enterprise system, follows the rule of market economy and enterprise development and enhances its core competitiveness, thus developing its comprehensive strength and brand value.

It’s said that the list is based on the analysis of financial data, brand strength and consumers' behaviors. Now it has become an important tool to assess the intangible asset of an enterprise. China's 500 Most Valuable Brands is jointly compiled by World Brand Lab (WBL) and World Economic Forum, reputed as "Economic United Nations". Currently, WBL is one of the three largest widely recognized brand value assessment organizations in the world. Starting from 2004, it assesses, selects from enterprises and releases China's 500 Most Valuable Brands every year and this year is the 14th release.
