On July 10, accompanied by relevant department staff from the Organization Department of Municipal Party Committee, Municipal New Shougang Office, Shijingshan District, Fengtai District and Mentougou District, over 10 overseas academicians and experts paid a visit to Shougang, including Andre Jean—Claude, former President of European Center for Research and Training in Scientific Computation Academician of French Academy of Sciences and the National Technical Institute of France, and Borys Burkynskyi, professor of Market Issues and Economic and Ecological Research Institute in the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Hu Xiongguang, leader of Shougang Group, and relevant department heads warmly received them.

At the session, Hu Xiongguang welcomed all the overseas academicians and experts and introduced the overall development of Shougang Old Industrial Zone. Relevant heads of Municipal New Shougang Office introduced the situation of New Shougang International Talent Community; overseas academicians and experts watched the video of Designing Plan of the Northern New Shougang High-end Industrial Comprehensive Service Area and listened to their introduction.

Accepted by the Organization Department of Municipal Party Committee, New Shougang International Talent Community is one of the first pilot international talent communities in Beijing, among the other three. Under the support and guidance of relevant departments including the Organization Department of Municipal Party Committee and New Shougang Office, Shougang Group plans at a high starting point, vigorously promotes and actively joins the work of building overseas academician and expert station and international talent community. By relying on the ample resources of Shougang Park and taking the opportunities of Overseas Chinese Gallery, the national winter sport training base and national sports industry demonstration zone, the International Talent Community focuses on attracting overseas Chinese academicians and experts as well as international organizations to promote the development of sports culture and innovation of industrial technology. The International Talent Community aims to provide international high-end talents with more comfortable working and living environment in terms of infrastructure, public service facilities, ecological environment and living conditions, gradually develop the service system and policies to support high-end international talents, build an international talent community featuring green and smart work and life, integrate Chinese and Western culture and convenient and efficient management service and provide firm support to the innovation and entrepreneurship in the capital and contribute to  a harmonious and liveable city.
