Recently, Shougang Fund held the strategic cooperative ceremony with Chengdu Wuhou District People's Government, planning to establish the “Chengdu-Shougang Belt and Road Fund”. At PhaseⅠ, RMB 1 billion yuan would be invested and RMB 5 billion yuan would be spent in future. Shougang Fund will organize the market-oriented and professional management team in Wuhou District, focusing on the construction and development of urban infrastructure and parks as well as other quality projects about urban comprehensive service sector, three-dimensional garage, recreational and sports facilities, medicine and education.

At the ceremony, leaders of Shougang Fund introduced that it will center on the investment theme of “creating new industrial trend and investing new life” after the establishment of “Chengdu-Shougang Belt and Road Fund”. First, Shougang Fund will to support the economic and social development of Wuhou District by giving full play to its advantage in industrial transformation and urban upgrading and considering the development features and phases of local cities and industries. Second, it will focus on the construction and development of urban infrastructure and parks as well as other quality projects about urban comprehensive service sector, three-dimensional garage, recreational and sports facilities, medicine and education. Third, through relying opportunities brought by the “Belt and Road”, it will explore and support promising industries with regional advantages especially those that having synergy effect with the transformation and upgrading of traditional industrial and the national strategy of the “Integration of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region”.

With a long historical civilization, enormous science and technology strength and strong ability of innovation, Wuhou District is a “High-tech Cultural District” named by the State Council. One of the economic work priorities in 2017 for Wuhou District is to actively cultivate and introduce huge financial and financial-related projects and strive to develop scientific and technological finance, green finance, inclusive finance and consumer finance. Through bilateral cooperation, Shougang Fund hopes to attract more social capital to focus on and participate the construction and development of Wuhou District, thus promoting its rapid development in “mass entrepreneurship and innovation”, industry cluster and urban upgrading and making itself a leader of Chengdu and Sichuan in the integration of industries and finance. 

It was introduced that, by working with different local governments and large state-owned enterprises, Shougang Fund, a company based on the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration and its global perspective, has established the model of industry guide fund, implemented supply-side structural reform and released reforming dividends, finally promoting the transformation and upgrading of local industries and regional economic development. In the future, Shougang Fund will continue to enhance cooperation with different regional governments and jointly set up more professional funds.
