Recently, Shougang Jingtang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. launched the first batch of six sigma projects in 2017. The 96 lean six sigma projects launched this time include 12 black belts, 68 green belts and 16 6S/QTI lean projects.

This has been the fifth year since Shougang Jingtang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. promoted the six sigma management, so the Company has already got rich experience in managing the six sigma projects. In 2017, Shougang Jingtang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. places higher requirements on the promotion of six sigma projects in the following aspects: application of tools and methods, problems on production line, management of project process, normalization topics, implementation mechanism and blending in regular professional work.

In order to put the project implementation program into practice, the six sigma management office, cooperating with the manufacturing department, finance and accounting department, office, equipment department and energy department, decomposed the concerns of Shougang Jingtang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. in production efficiency, product quality, system cost, contract fulfillment rate, equipment function and accuracy and development of new products, and obtained 30 problems to be solved; on the basis of arranging key jobs of different departments in 2017, 101 key problems in 8 directions to be solved are formed; on the basis of analyzing the key categories and loss involved in quality objection of last year, 54 key problems to be solved are obtained; on the basis of analyzing the completion of assessment indexes of process stability in 2016, 19 indexes to be promoted are screened. 178 suggestions are made through matching of methods, so as to solve the key problems mentioned above.

This year, Shougang Jingtang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. has further optimized the workload of each link of six sigma project management, releasing the time and energy of the personnel participating in this, providing guarantee for the project personnel to throw themselves into the improvement work.
