The Shougang-WAP Intelligence Joint Laboratory for Steel Application Technology in Storage Racking was recently unveiled at the Research Institute of Technology of Shougang Group. Leadership and personnel from WAP Intelligence Storage Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Shougang Marketing Co., Ltd., and the Research Institute of Technology of Shougang Group were in attendance at the unveiling ceremony. This collaboration represents a profound partnership between the two organizations, focusing on green, low-carbon, and sustainable development. This partnership is set to inject new momentum into both the storage racking sector and the steel materials industry.

Shougang and WAP Intelligence adhere to the fundamental principles of "mutual exchange of information, complementary advantages, mutual benefit, and common development." By leveraging their respective technological strengths and forming a powerful alliance, the two organizations have initiated in-depth cooperation centered around researching new materials and processes for the intelligent storage sector. Their collaborative focus includes the selection and application of pre-galvanized aluminum-magnesium materials in the storage racking industry, as well as the development of new materials and the corresponding formulation of standards. This includes lightweight racking structures, key manufacturing technologies related to connections, corrosion resistance, and roll forming, as well as the promotion of innovative racking solutions. Through these efforts, the partners aim to bolster technological innovation and practical application, ensuring that racking manufacturing keeps pace with the advancements of smart logistics and achieves new heights in green development.

Following the unveiling ceremony, the two partners signed an annual direct supply agreement for hot-rolled coil products. WAP Intelligence also presented Shougang with its "Best Partner Award for 2024."

Shougang has now become a core supplier for WAP Intelligence, with the share of their collaborative business increasing annually.
