A national standard named “Iron-Chromium-Aluminum Fibers for Motor Vehicle Purification Filters”, which was mainly drafted and developed by Gitane New Materials Company, was approved for release and will be officially implemented on April 1st, 2019.

The standard specifies the grades, dimensions, and weights, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates for iron-chromium-aluminum fibers and wires for motor vehicle purification filters, which is applicable to metal fiber felt or iron-chromium-aluminum fibers and wire material in diesel engine exhaust particulate filters (DPF), also applicable to metal fiber felt in the chemical, petroleum, gas, and other industries or felt or iron-chromium-aluminum fibers and wires for mesh grid. The release and implementation of the standard will further help and guide the relevant production enterprises to innovate production technology, improve the quality of products, and enhance the competitiveness of the market, which will have significant social and economic benefits.
