The workers of Shougang have invented a constructional building with the steel structure technology, which makes house building become very simple and practicable.

Recently, the hoisting construction of the composite floor slabs of the first floor of No.4 and No.7 constructional steel structure buildings contracted by First Construction Engineering Branch Company of Shougang Construction Group has officially started, the smooth stepping into the construction of the first floor and above marks the exploration for construction of constructional steel structure building of the Company has achieved the phased objectives.

The construction of No.4 and No.7 constructional steel structure buildings was started on September 10, 2016 and is going to be completed on March 30, 2018. It is the first pilot project on steel structure housing industrialization explored by Shougang Group and Beijing. The composite floor slabs of this project adopt special independent supporting system and combine the features of steel structure works with the special requirements for positioning and protection of subsequent cladding panel installation works. The “tool type safety protection, positioning system” and “self-compacting concrete” are all initiated by this project. During the construction, the workers stick to scientific organization and strict management to ensure the quality and construction period. Shougang Group has carried on discussions on the scheme, technology and other subjects among the design department, project department, BIM center and component deepening design units for many times, which have helped solving the problems existing between various disciplines, adopting correct construction method and achieving the objective in planned construction period.

The research and development of steel structure housing by Shougang Group is in the leading position of the industry. In 2013, Shougang Group completed the Mentougou lead wire plant security housing project in the mode of EPC, which is the first constructional steel structure building in Beijing. The steel structure housing has many advantages, such as good anti-seismic property, high engineering quality, low construction investment, energy saving, environmentally friendly, flexible layout and good construction safety.

Before then, the steel structure components and PC components production base built by Shougang Construction Group has already made itself the leader of constructional building technology, the demonstrator of building industrialization and promoter of green building.
